Catholic Weddings – Houston Wedding Photographer

I get asked a lot, “Do you do Catholic wedding photography?” Sure do! I have shot at different Catholic churches and one thing I have learned over the years is: every priest is different and each church is different. They have their own set of rules about photos, where you can stand, where I can stand, flowers, what you can wear, what your bridesmaids can wear, etc. I learn the rules of each church beforehand and shoot away (while following all the rules!)

Sierra and Khoi were married at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in mid-town area of Houston and had their reception at Las Velas. What I loved most about the church (besides my sweet couple!) were the wood details, stone walls and stained glass. You really couldn’t tell you were in the middle of urban Houston.

Here’s some of my favorites from the day! Also some great vendors:Planning: Ashley Williams
Cake: Cakes by Gina
Dress: Vivienne Atelier
HMUA: Vallory Beauty

Sierra wanted sweet Ralphie the dog to be a part of the wedding day as much as possible and I loved that. He was definitely the Best Man and stole the show at the reception

No first look for this couple! Sierra and Khoi wanted to see each other for the first time walking down the aisle. Khoi let out a huge “ooooh” when he saw his lovely bride.

At the reception, Sierra and Khoi changed into traditional Vietnamese wedding outfits. The woman’s ao-dai dress is usually red, not white, but Sierra had her outfit custom made to be a mix of both cultures. So pretty!
